Wine Tastng Evening 31st January

We are pleased to invite you to a special Wine Tasting Evening at Stratford Oaks Golf Club on Saturday 31 January 2026, hosted by fellow club member Nico Pretorius, to launch the first wines from his Harbours Hill Vineyard in Worcestershire.

About Harbours Hill Vineyard

Harbours Hill Vineyard is located on a south-easterly slope overlooking the Lickey Hills towards Birmingham. The vineyard covers one hectare and is planted with approximately 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Seyval Blanc.

While most grapes are sold under agreement to a single winery producing quality still wines, a select portion is retained for production in Nico’s own winery under the Harbours Hill label.

What to Expect on the Evening

Guests will enjoy an interactive tasting experience of four English wines, each paired with canapés prepared by the Club’s chef:

• 2023 Sparkling Wine (Spumante style)
• 2023 Semi-Sparkling Wine (Frizzante style)
• 2024 White Still Wine
• 2023 Red Still Wine

During the tasting, Nico will also cover:

• The story of Harbours Hill Vineyard
• Why quality begins in the vineyard and the magic happens in the winery
• What makes English wine special and unique
• How you can support English wine

Price: £30 per person

• No persons under 18 will be permitted
• No wine sales will take place on the night
